Brahmi Ghrit is a classical Ayurvedic formulation revered for its profound effect on the brain, nervous system, cognition, and emotional stability. How to Use
- Adults: 6–12 ml once or twice daily
- Children (above 5 years): 2–5 ml once daily
- Best taken:
- Empty stomach in the morning, or
- At bedtime with warm milk or warm water
Dosage should be adjusted by an Ayurvedic practitioner based on Agni, Bala, and the condition.
Safety & Precautions
- Use cautiously in high Pitta conditions or acute gastritis
- Avoid during acute diarrhea or heavily Kapha-dominant Ama conditions
- Patients with hyperlipidemia, fatty liver, and obesity should take only on medical supervision
- Pregnant women should consult an Ayurvedic doctor before use
- Avoid excessive dose in summer without proper Anupana
- Do not heat ghee directly

Dosha-Based Indications
- Vata Disorders: Chronic anxiety, panic attacks, insomnia, apasmara tendencies, neurological weakness, stammering, and speech developmental issues. Brahmi Ghrit is Vata-shamaka and nourishes Majja Dhatu.
- Pitta Disorders: Emotional irritability, overthinking, anger and exam-stress with Pitta aggravation. Use smaller doses and combine with cooling herbs (e.g., Shatavari).
- Kapha Disorders: Brain fog, slow cognition, lethargy and dull memory. Combine with mild Deepana-Pachana before starting full dose.

Practitioner Tips
Start with a low dose for Pitta or Kapha patients, and gradually increase as Agni improves.
Use Deepana–Pachana (Trikatu, Chitrakadi Vati) for 3–5 days before initiating Brahmi Ghrit in Kapha-dominant or Ama conditions.
