Dadimasthak Churna is a traditional Ayurvedic formulation primarily composed of Anardana, Mishri, Dalchini, Elaichi, Tamalpatra, Sunthi, Marich, and Pippali.
Known for its soothing action on throat (कंठ), its ability to help bind stools (मल बंधन), and for its support during cough and fever (खांसी व ज्वर), this classical blend enhances Agni, corrects Kapha–Vata imbalance, and supports healthy digestion and respiration.

How to Use
- Adults: 1–3 g (½ to 1 teaspoon) twice daily after food
- Children: 500 mg–1 g once or twice daily (only under practitioner supervision)
- Anupana: Warm water/honey/ghee, depending on condition
- For Throat Support: With honey or warm water
- For Loose Motions: With warm water
- For Cough/Cold: With honey
Safety & Precautions
- Not advised in active acidity unless combined with ghee
- Caution in hypertension due to salt-sensitive ingredients if added by manufacturer
- Avoid in extreme Pitta prakriti or during high-grade fever without practitioner guidance
- Pregnant and lactating women should use only on medical advice

Dosha-Based Indications
- Vata–Kapha Disorders: Loss of appetite, weak Agni, Loose stools with mucus, Bloating, gas, Morning cough, Kapha Srotoshodhana, कंठ काठिन्य (throat stiffness or dryness)
- Pitta Disorders (with caution): Useful in mild Pitta-aggravated diarrhoea when combined with ghee, not ideal in high Pitta heat without modifications

Practitioner Tips
- Works best when dose is adjusted by Agni strength:
- Mridu Agni (sensitive): 1 g after meals
- Mandagni (weak): 2–3 g twice daily
- For public speakers / singers, give with honey for throat clarity.
- For travel-induced loose stools, combine with ORS and give small divided doses.
- For post-meal heaviness, give with warm water.
