Overview
Trunpanchamula Kwath is a classical Ayurvedic formulation prepared from five important roots collectively known as Trunpanchamula — Kusha (Desmostachya bipinnata), Kasha (Saccharum spontaneum), Darbha (Imperata cylindrica), Shara (Saccharum munja), and Ikshu (Saccharum officinarum). It is primarily indicated for disorders related to the urinary system (Mutravaha Srotas), such as urinary retention, burning micturition, and inflammation.
The decoction exhibits Mutrala (diuretic), Shothahara (anti-inflammatory), and Pittashamaka (pitta-pacifying) properties. It helps in detoxifying the urinary tract, reducing swelling, and promoting smooth urine flow. Regular use under Ayurvedic guidance supports kidney and bladder health while maintaining fluid balance in the body.
