Bahumulya - Precious Medicines (बहुमूल्य औषधिया)

In Ayurveda, Bahumulya Aushadhi refers to medicinal formulations prepared using precious, rare, or highly valued substances such as gold (Swarna), silver (Rajata), pearls (Mukta), coral (Pravala), gemstones (Manikya, Neelam), and select rare botanicals. These medicines were never meant for routine use; rather, they were designed for severe, chronic, degenerative, or life-threatening conditions, and for Rasayana (rejuvenation) and Medhya (intellect-enhancing) purposes.

Their evolution represents the highest refinement of Ayurvedic pharmaceutics, where nature, metallurgy, alchemy, and clinical wisdom converge.
